Formed in 2009, the Ilford Business Improvement District’s key aims are to promote businesses within the BID boundary, increase footfall and to make Ilford the destination of choice.
Age UK Redbridge, Barking, and Havering supports around 30,000 older adults through a wide range of services and activities aimed at improving wellbeing and reducing isolation. Their key services include free advice on benefits, health, and community care; a Befriending Service offering companionship via phone calls or home visits; and a Home Support Service for tasks like cleaning, shopping, and post-illness rehabilitation. They also provide digital skills training and host social and wellness activities such as Tai Chi, falls prevention, poetry sessions, and art projects, available both online and in-person.
