Painting Ilford – Community Mural Paint Along

Event Image

Come and join our community mural painting workshop, we have two days of messy fun in Ilford, painting an outdoor piece of street art on both sides of the underpass next to the library. The mural has been designed and researched by the community and we are excited to get the community involved in making this permanent art piece.

The mural depicts the history of Ilford and Redbridge, what it is like living in the community now and young participants dreams of what the future of the area will be like.

The designs have been co created by local artist, Erin Aniker with workshops from local primary schools, care homes, the local museum and community groups.

Each painting workshop will be 2 hours each, please come 5 minutes early for us to properly get you inducted.

Who is it for?

Anyone 10 and over working, living or studying in Redbridge, be advised children will need to come with adult supervision. No prior experience is necessary – these workshops are designed to be fun and accessible for all skill levels. There will be outdoor standing for most of the session so please let us know if we can accommodate in anyway.
