Exhibition and Print Workshop: Our Local Heroes at Wanstead Disability Festival
Our Local Heroes Print Exhibition has created a selection of artworks and designs celebrating our local heroes, developed from creative workshops run with artists who have learning disabilities or autism. The artists designed a conventional art piece on their chosen local hero using a mixture of risograph, collagraph and block printing. This is a project developed and led by the Redbridge charity Uniting Friends Local Heroes is gratefully funded and supported by Colours of Redbridge. We Can Create is a project funded through Arts Council England.
Our Local Heroes Print will be hosting a Exhibition and Print workshop at the Disability festival Wanstead!
The annual Disability Festival in the Park returns on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Christchurch Green in Wanstead. This inclusive, fun and fun packed event is proudly organised by Redbridge Council and committed charities such as One Place East, Redbridge Forum, WEL Enterprises, Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure, CFDN, Healthwatch Redbridge, Colours of Redbridge, and Snaresbrook Arts Project.
