Are you 16–25 and living in Redbridge? Interested in music, digital art, design or creative media? Portfolio is a free summer programme where you can explore your creativity, learn new skills and start building your future in the creative industries.
Over a few weeks, you’ll take part in hands-on workshops, masterclasses and mentoring with real creative professionals. You’ll try out new ideas, work on your own projects and meet other young people who are passionate about making things too.
- 🎧 Hands-on creative workshops
- 🎨 Mentoring from creative professionals
- 📁 Your own creative portfolio
- 👀 Your work seen by industry professionals
- 🎤 A showcase at East Bank
- 🤝 New creative friends and collaborators
You’ll also have the chance to get your work seen by people working in the industry. Throughout the programme you’ll create projects that show off your style and ideas, helping you build a portfolio you can use when applying for jobs, college courses or other creative opportunities.
The programme is supported by rapper LESiA (Rap Game UK) and Mawaan Rizwan, the BAFTA-winning star of Juice and Taskmaster.
You’ll finish the programme with a big showcase at East Bank in Stratford, where you’ll share your work with friends, family and people from across the creative sector.
By the end, you’ll have new skills, new connections and a portfolio that shows what you can do.
Sound like your thing? Apply now and be part of it. Applications close Monday 1 June at 10am. The process takes approximately 30–45 minutes and around 25 people will be selected to take part.
“This programme is a major moment for Redbridge. It gives young creatives the chance to build their portfolios, gain exposure and learn directly from professionals who know the industry inside out. Seeing local talent get these kinds of opportunities is fantastic — I wish there was something like this when I was growing up in the area!”
— Mawaan Rizwan, Portfolio Ambassador
“Portfolio is about opening doors for young people in Redbridge who may not otherwise have access to creative pathways. This programme gives them the space, skills and confidence to explore their ideas, work with industry professionals and build something they can be genuinely proud of. We’re excited to see the talent that emerges this summer.”
— LESiA, Portfolio Ambassador
Portfolio is supported by A New Direction and Foundation for Future London, with additional funding from Redbridge Neighbourhood CIL.
